Robert's obituary:
"The Kansas City Star (MO), June 18, 1975:
Robert L. Gaunce, 58, of 8114 Jarboe, retired teacher and supervisor at the
Kansas State School for the Deaf died today at the Research Medical Center. He
was born in Weaubleau, MO and had lived here most of his life. He was a member
of the R.L.D.S. Church. He was a member of the National Fraternal Society for
the Deaf and the Kansas Association for the Deaf. He leaves his wife, Mrs.
Martha Gaunce of the home; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Gaunce, 1500 W. Truman Road,
Independence; three brothers, John Gaunce, 7522 Waverly, Kansas City, Kansas,
H. Everett Gaunce, Sun City, Ariz., and J. Clifford Gaunce, Roswell, N.M., and
two sisters, Mrs. Marie Lash, 702 W. 89th, and Mrs. Jessie Hawkins, Lee's
Summit. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Muehlebach Chapel; burial in
Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel."
