I wanted to let you know what a terrific job you have done with your web page. It has been most helpful.
The Nickell's are related to me through the marriages of Rube Mullen (1st cousin twice removed) to Grace Nickell and Selma Helen Mullen (1st cousin once removed) to Ernest Nickell. I had been unable to find out the descendants of either until I found your Nickell Genealogy Home Page.

I was dropping this line because there is some mistakes about my Family and I. First off my parents Robert Ridneour Jr and Carol Ann McFarland were married Febuary of 1981 not in 1980. I was born in 1981 not 1980 and I would enjoy it if my appendage was added, it's very important to me. I'm the III.
Also my sister is Rachel Michelle not Machel Richelle. My brother TImothy Michael Ridenour was born in 1988 not 1989. My father married Judy King in November of 1994 not 96 in Gatlinburg TN. Also my cousin Terry Edward Ridenour was born in1981 same as I not 1982. We are only 5 days apart in age and I would like to keep it that way.
My grandmother sometimes gets our info all messed up but its cool. Hit me back if you recive this

  • Hello, Kathy! Gee, it's been a long time since we last talked. Hope things are going well over in Bozeman. I really enjoyed the messages we exchanged a couple of years ago. "Some day" we'll get over to Bozeman and surprise you. We've been over to Mullan, ID a couple of times to ride a portion of the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes Hike/Bike trail. See you on the trail someday?

I enjoyed your nickell web page very much. I am a descendent of Papa John, via Jessie Hall and James Henry Debolt. I am 25 years old and have been using the Internet to learn more about my ancestors. Your site is a big help. Thanks!

Andrew Jackson HAWKINS is a direct line to my line of Hawkins. Andrews' father was William R. (Mar. 31, 1791 - Jan. 1879) and Williams' father was James (1765 - 1834). We are diligently researching to find more information on James, i.e. siblings and parents.

I think a Nickell girl married Luther Eyre Kramer I in Ronceverte/Lewisburg WVa area and had four sons, the first named Hunter Nickell Kramer, who became a judge of the 11th circuit of WVa. He died about 1975-80. I'd like to find that connection if known. Thanks.

  • Ah, you must think I'm a Wizard, John!. I've 6 Russell NICKELLs in my files plus another half dozen scattered here and there with Russell as a middle name. Could he be Clayton Russell NICKELL, b.1932 in CO and married to Carol Kimball CROSBY? I don't have any children so can't really make a good identification. I do have a Russel NICKELL as you've spelled it: b. in OH 1922 and d. in OH 1936 at the age of 14. Could that be your grandpa?

Wish people could be as thorough in asking as I've been in posting my years of research. Sigh...

But, I'm a NICKELL, and if you are a NICKELL, there's a pretty good chance we are related somehow.

    Don

Very interesting info. Thanks for all your hard work and for sharing with us.
